Description of Position - As Regina Climbing Centre team members, your primary role is to  provide a welcoming and enjoyable climbing experience to all members and visitors.

Essential Duties

  • Building positive relationships with customers through gym tours, visitor check-in, orientations and belay checks performed
  • Operating POS software, opening and closing cash registers, performing sales transactions counting money, accepting returns and exchanges, and balancing cash drawers
  • Answering phone, taking messages, responding to basic climbing, facility and pricing questions;
  • Maintaining accurate customer database, including scanning and processing customer documents and updating customer information as needed.
  • Monitoring facility for smart climbing practices, proper equipment use and adherence to the Regina Climbing Centres rules. Correcting any violations.
  • Maintaining a clean and healthy environment with daily duties such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and general cleaning of the facilities
  • Understand and follow the RCC Staff Manual, and stay up-to-date on standard industry practices
  • Be on time, and find qualified substitute staff for any shifts missed.

Compensation Package

  • Compensation: $15.00 - $20 per hour DOE

Requirements

  • Friendly, approachable and service-oriented;
  • Strong skills in verbal communication, organizational and conflict resolution;
  • Cash handling experience is a plus
  • Climbing skills not required

Preferred Qualifications

  • First Aid, CPR certified
  • CWI, ACMG CGI or other certification

Schedule Requirements

  • Available 12-24 hours per week.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends

Birthday Party Host

 

Do you love kids, being generally silly. Can you teach and ensure your group is together and  safe. Then this job might be right for you!

Are you…

  • A dancer, actor, singer, or athlete?
  • Outgoing, upbeat, and positive?
  • Someone who takes direction well?
  • Available to work weekends? (We throw wonderful, memorable birthday parties year-round.)

As a Birthday Party Host, you’ll be working with children ranging from 6 to 12 years of age. You will often be there for many first climbing experiences and this is a huge responsibility.

Compensation Package

Requirements

Required Experience

  • RCC top-rope belay certification
  • Ready to work certificate

Route Setter

 Description

RCC is seeking qualified route setters to join its team.

Applicants should be interested in commercial and competition setting, We are looking for a diverse setting team, but people with the best qualifications will be offered positions.

Candidates must be able to climb V6+ as well as top rope and lead 5.12. Additional responsibilities include hold washing and general maintenance and organization of setting tools and equipment 

Competitive pay rates, benefits and time off are offered, while upward movement within the company is available and encouraged.


Compensation Package

Requirements

  • Route setting experience a plus
  • RCC route setting class
  • Ability to set as a team; give and take constructive critique
  • Ability to climb V4+ and top rope and lead 5-10+
  • Must wear protective equipment (eyes, ears, and helmet)
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Agrees to follow Route Setting plan
